Planning our weekly meals really helps me tone down the stress of figuring out what’s for dinner every night. This menu planning free printable is what I currently use in my home to keep my menu plans all in one place. I plan on having an 8 week rotating menu plan, complete with shopping lists and recipes that I’ll keep in a binder so that I can free up my mind concerning meals for the family. I did this with some of my pregnancies and it was wonderful to just pull the shopping list for the week and head to the store.
The Menu Planning Printable Explained…
The top portion tells me what I will freeze or make ahead for the week, what baked goods I should make and what will be prepared fresh at each meal.
The bottom box is for any special Sabbath meals or preparations that I plan on making. For example, I may note to start a crock pot meal the night before church so that it is ready for when we get home. I may write: pick up flowers/press table cloth and napkins and any other similar directions I might need for that meal.
The middle is where I list what will be served for each meal. Generally, it’s just a simple description of each meal that doesn’t take up much space. The purpose of this sheet is to have an at-a-glance plan. I place main recipes with their sides written on the recipe sheet in the binder behind each weekly menu plan. Then, a grocery shopping list follows behind those for the week.
