Happy Passover and Resurrection Day From Fruitful Vine Woman!
It’s time to pull back and pause while the season of “Christ’s Love Displayed” visits us once again. I am so very grateful for His Faithfulness and Love, aren’t you? This year I am taking my time meditating on His Story, the redemption made available to me, the forgiveness through the shedding of His Cleansing Blood, the joy of His Resurrecting Power and New Covenant in Him, and the promise of His Return.
In our home, we share a meal, much like the Passover meal but with a Christ-centered focus, we read the bible and we watch a movie or two about when God delivered the Israelites up out of Egpyt. We talk about the leaven, and why it is so important to remove the old batch for the new. We talk about the price that was paid for us, and we thank the Lord for taking our place on that cross. Passover Week and Resurrection Day are the times that we can teach our children about what Christ has done and why we cling to Him so tightly.
We may or may not make a few crafts together and it is also the time that we officially decorate our home for Spring! The kiddos love dyeing easter eggs, and having a plastic egg hunt in the yard every year. If the weather is nice, we begin to venture out more to enjoy the first signs of life popping up all over.
It’s a time of family, tradition, and love in the Lord.
Posts for Fruitful Vine Woman will resume on the 17th. of April, 2017. I pray that each of you draws closer to the Lord and to each other during this special season.
Many, many blessings, Nicci
